nice watch - some comparison against Suunto ObserverJul 07, 2005
By Su I actually own the Tissot T33779851, but the workings of the models are virtually identical. I also have a Suunto Observer. While both these watches have similar functions, and the prices are roughly equal give or take $100, there are significant differences.
I have the T-touch with the rubber strap. If the shop does not adjust it for you, you have to do it yourself. You will need a small paperclip, and a scissors. Be careful! Once you cut ths strap, there is no going back! Be mindful that the Tissot clasp sits off center - observe the inside latch of the closed clasp and you will see what I mean. Factor that into your placement.
I have 2 minor gripes about the T-touch. First, the problem of fingerprints on the glass. I have found that if I use my knuckle to touch the glass, I do not leave marks on the glass as easily. Second, this watch has no light (which the Suunto Observer does) - oh, well - minor inconvenience.
On the plus side, I love the EASE of operation! The Suunto is SO COMPLICATED they actually give you a pocket cheat card to carry around with you to tell you how to operate the watch. Ugh! The T-touch, on the other hand, is almost intuitive to operate.
T-touch only has 30M water resist, while Observer has 100M. Also, the Tissot battery apparently has to be changed at the shop, while you can change the Suunto battery yourself.
Otherwise, I love the T-Touch, and it is my current fave watch.

Tissot T Touch WatchJun 30, 2006
By P. K. Worley Tissot has created a remarkable watch. My friends are all jealous. It has stayed accurate to 1/2 second per month. It seems impervious to water... although I do not push the buttons underwater. Would like some back lighting and a bit larger LCD screen. Would buy the orange one next because I am a watch junky. A superb work of design and functionality. Do not hesitate to invest in this master timepiece.
DO NOT buy on the internet... guarantee will be void. Only buy from authorized Tissot dealer, and be sure to register the purchase.

Internet Purchase Wasn't 5 StarsJul 13, 2006

I bought the watch here at Amazon and it's great. But I'd recommend buying it in a jewelry store instead. Amazon shipped it in a cardboard box that was much larger than necessary. They put one small plastic air cushion pillow in the box, which wasn't enough to keep the watch box from moving around inside the Amazon box during shipping. This seemed inadequate packaging for a $400+ watch.
Unless you have a monster wrist, you will need to have the rubber wrist strap sized by a jeweler anyway before you can wear it.
I'm hoping the watch is reliable (so far so good) because buying it here is really a grey market purchase without the manufacturer's warranty.
Great WatchApr 05, 2012
By GligorD I bought this watch couple years ago, more like teach peace then watch. During this period I change my opinion. This is a true watch, precise, elegant even it has sport look. I like it very much, it is my favorite watch now.

Online price is worth the risk.Dec 25, 2006
By amazonfan $250 less than retail is quite a big discount when list is $650. I have purchased brand new $1200 Tag Heuer's online for 40% off list. I disagree with the previous posters on the warranty for this watch. If bought through Amazon there is a free 5 yr warranty included. Also, my Tag was warrantied by Tag even though I bought it from a store online. I wouldn't worry about buying a watch online. The risk is worth the discount.
