 Beautiful watch looks even better on!Aug 27, 2008

I checked it out online at several sites, and saw other Tag Heuer watches in local shops for lots more money. I decided that this one was probably best for me, and I love it! I get lots of compliments on the beauty of my new watch, and I love that it keeps accurate time in the smallest detail! No more being late..... And the price here was excellent - I saved hundreds of dollars.....

I got this watch in March. By April, it was no longer keeping time accurately. I always set my watch 5 minutes ahead of time. I went to bed one night and woke up the next morning, and this watch was 7 minutes behind time. I reset the watch, and a month later, same problem.
The worst part is that I am not able to reach the Amazon.com warranty department to discuss this issue.
I have had an authentic, from the store, Citizen watch for the past 12 years and have never had a problem with it, and certainly not a problem with it keeping time.
Other buyers may want to consider the value of purchasing a watch from a retailer with a physical location so that if you have problems with it (who would have expected a TAG to not be able to keep time), you can take it in and have it handled professionally.
This will obviously be my last purchase.

Elegant Swiss QualityOct 14, 2008

Of course you can get a watch that keeps time as well as a Swiss watch at a much cheaper price but you can tell the difference in quality. Tag Heuer and this watch has a quality comparable to Omega. It really is an elegant watch and the right balance of not too big but not too small. Elegant but not glitzy a la Palm Springs. It looks in place dining or everyday and will last a long time. If you can get this at Amazon (when available and not always) you will get the best price. The Tag Heuer web site has stated:
"TAG Heuer does not sell authentic TAG Heuer watches on the Web. Therefore, a watch purchased on the Web from any other retailer may be counterfeit, damaged, tampered with, or contain inferior parts."
However, because of this Amazon does offer a 2 year warrenty since the Tag Heuer warrenty card is missing when you get the watch (gray market). Four stars because of this.

I did a lot of research before committing to this purchase. After studying lots of reviews from multiple sites I decided to take a trip to Nordstrom's (my favorite place for face to face purchases) and looked at the TAG selection there. At first I was thinking the Aquaracer would be better for my budget... but after trying it on, I realized that for my petite wrist it wasn't setting very well. Instead the Link was looking better, and in person the two tone looks fabulous. I wanted it to mix well for both gold/silver jewelery and day/night occasions. I'd also say that this watch isn't overly flashy in person- I think it's just perfect for work.
At Norstrom's this watch was selling for about $2,300... by making this purchase on Amazon.com I saved almost $1,000! When the box came, it looked like any other Amazon purchase. Inside of the package it came with all the original TAG purchase peices (TAG box and watch was in protective wrapping). I went back to Nordstrom's to ask them to take out some of the links and they didn't notice a thing until I told them. Unfortunately, Nordstrom's does not do a price match unless the item is another retail store. I'm pretty sure they know Amazon sells them for less and won't do a price match with Amazon.
I think the only thing I would improve about the Amazon selection is the ability to zoom in to see the merchandise and the product description. If you want a better look you can go to the TAG site, zoom in... zoom out... look at it from all angles. At Nordstrom's- the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the construction of the materials, I hope Amazon can beef up the product description a little bit more.
Beautiful watch - not what I ordered, BUT SOLVED! (update)Mar 31, 2012

I ordered the watch shown in Amazon's website, with the brushed (matte) steel finish, Item Nr. WJF1352.BB0581. This watch is perfect match to the men's watch I own, and that is why I thought of purchasing it as an anniversary preasent for my wife.
I live outside the US and had the watch delivered to a friend's house in the US. When I traveled to pick-up the watch, after spending almost $1700 on it, I found out I was delivered a diferent item, THWJF1352.BB0581, with a POLISHED (shiny) steel finish.
It is a beatiful watch, but not what I ordered.
This was the reason for my 3 star rating.
UPDATE:
I worked on the issue with Amazon's Customer Service (on chat) to streighten things, and had delivered the right watch within two days, just in time before my travel back home.
Now, not only is this a GORGEOUS watch, but it is EXACTLY what I wanted!
Amazon's Customer Service DNA is just amazing!
This why I am a ever-returning Amazon customer! Good quality products, favorable prices, EXCELLENT service!
Definitely, a 5 star product and a 5+ star service!
