Setting Description
Pear-shaped diamond side stones add a distinctive look to this classic engagement ring setting. Held in three-prong settings, with standard and V-shaped prongs, the pear-shaped stones taper to a point where they meet the band and provide a beautiful framework for your center diamond. The tapered shoulders of the ring slope down gently from the side stones in a classic cathedral style. Both the thickness and the width of the band measure between 2.0 and 2.2 mm.

The diamonds featured here are of exceptional quality. With a color rating of G-H, they are in the uppermost range of near colorless and appear dazzling white to the eye. They have a clarity of VS2 to SI1, meaning there are very small inclusions that are difficult to see under 10x magnification, and impossible to see with the unaided eye. Platinum, a metal 35 times rarer than gold, is exceptionally durable and will not wear away over time; this makes it particularly well suited to holding precious gemstones.
