Omega Women's 1277.75.00 Constellation Diamond Watch

SKU:

1277.75

This product is currently out of stock
Description:

Blending refined European design with glittery diamond-accented style, this Omega Constellation women's watch offers graceful lines and a medium-sized width. Mixing both stainless steel and 18 karat gold, this Constellation offers an appealing balance of luxury, durability, and precision (with its Swiss quartz watch movement). And this watch will capture attention immediately as you walk into the ballroom (or boardroom) with its tiny diamond dial markers and shiny, fully diamond encrusted 18 karat gold bezel. The silver stainless steel bracelet band flows seamlessly from the case and is slightly tapered. It's accented by thin horizontal bands of 18 karat gold that separate the silver links and stretch fully across the width of the band. It's joined by a secure fold over clasp with push button.

The shimmery white mother-of-pearl white dial background also includes gold-tone Dauphine hands (with seconds hand). Other features include a scratch-resistant and glare-proofed domed sapphire crystal, a distinctive Cabochon crown, and water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet) The watch case measures 25.5mm (1 inch) across and 8mm (0.31 inches) deep.

Mother-of-pearl is the pearlescent material found on the inside of mollusk shells like abalone, oysters, and mussels, which can be scraped off, sliced thin, and applied to all manner of jewelry.

The Omega Story
The Omega watch story begins in 1848, when founder Louis Brandt began hand assembling key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen in his principality La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the northwest corner of Switzerland. However, the Omega name didn't appear until 1894, after Louis Brandt had passed away and his watchmaking traditions were taken over by his sons, Louis-Paul and Cesar Brandt. Omega watches have long been associated with glamorous screen and sports stars--the Omega Seamaster is famous for being the watch of choice for James Bond--with current ambassadors including Pierce Brosnan, Nicole Kidman, tennis player Anna Kournikova, and swimmers Michael Phelps and Ian Thorpe.

But Omega is more than just a fashionable watch. In 1965, the Omega Speedmaster chronograph was "flight-qualified by NASA for all manned space missions" as the only wristwatch to have withstood all of the U.S. space agency's severe tests, including passing grades for extreme shocks, vibrations, and temperatures ranging from -18 to +93 degrees Celsius. The greatest moment in the Speedmaster's history was undoubtedly 20 July 1969 at 02:56 GMT, when it recorded man's first steps on the Moon's surface as part of the Apollo 11 mission. Today, Omega is known for its rigorous testing of new movements, cases, and bands. Each new Omega movement is tested on the wrist in existing Omega models, while various laboratory tests are conducted to determine temperature-resistance, shock-resistance and vibration-resistance.

5Omega Constellation 1277.75Dec 31, 2007
By A. Lee
Great watch. The wife loves it, but make sure this is the style and size she wants. This has the diamond dial, diamond bezel, MOP, and the gold links all in the Small size, not the Mini.

I was a bit worried about ordering on-line due to the high value. However, Amazon delivered as promised, no problems. New in box, and all the accessories and cards. 5 Stars.

I was nervous ordering something so expensive and small online but there was no problem with delivery. Wife is happy with watch. Price was major savings over shops.

5Love this gorgeous watchOct 19, 2010
By BE Babe
I have owned this watch since 1998. It has held up beautifully over the last 12 years. The watch looks as good as day one, in spite of significant wear. I have only needed to have the battery changed twice in its lifetime, and the original battery lasted somewhere around 8 years. The only minor thing with the watch is that the stainless steel band has accumulated a few scratches from rubbing up against my clothing and receiving general nicks and scuffs throughout the years. But I believe they can be buffed out by an Omega retailer or service center. I just don't live anywhere close to an Omega service center. But it's certainly not something that's noticeable unless you're looking at the band really close. This is definitely a watch that will last a lifetime. It's elegant and sophisticated while being durable at the same time. This watch is definitely a timepiece that people will notice, but it's not too glitzy or over-the-top. It's beautifully simplistic yet very refined.

5I LOVE THIS WATCH!Sep 12, 2010
By Helen "lotsofkids12345"
I have this and absolutely love it! You won't go wrong with this watch! The diamonds are bright white and spectacular! It has BOTH the outer ring/circle of diamonds and an INNER ring of diamonds on the number points! It really makes a statement. I do feel in 2010, as this watch is now a retired model, that you may be able to get much greater discounts and find one "new" in the +/- $3000-$3500 range. It is clearly a great watch and worth $5000, but with savvy shopping, you can get a better deal (I did) Do be wary of other models with less diamonds or less gold. This model has full 18K gold bars/links and diamonds on both the exterior and interior of the watch.

5Watch of a lifetimeDec 02, 2010
By Working mom and doctor
I have had the watch since 1999, when my mother bought it for me as a wedding present. Through the years, including a tough residency and fellowship, two children, and several beach vacations, this watch has kept working and looking great. It did require a battery change and oiling once (several years ago). In addition, it is so beautiful and adds such subtle elegance to your wrist !
