Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. OK...The reviews here appear to run the gamut between someone who thinks you need to unscrew the crystal to adjust the time [which is not only ludicrous, but would void the warranty; I also have trouble believing this person actually did this, since removing the crystal requires a level of expertise that would include the prerequisite of knowing how to set the time to begin with!] and others who think it is too large and/or question the quality.
I'm here to say that I bought this and gave it to a very happy woman this past Christmas & she adores it. I adjusted the band easily, set the time, and it has been keeping excellent time...and the gold finish is still intact. Plus, the recipient is 5 ft 3.5 in and has a small wrist, and she loves the way it looks and wears it just about every day. Her watch goes well with my Invicta automatic diver, which, at over 40mm, dwarfs hers...it is a woman's size, after all. ;-)
Buy it on sale...they usually run Invicta sales so you can buy it for less than $100.
And, the packaging is very nice...makes for a great gift!

Received this watch today and to me it reminds me of my Dad's old Rolex watch. The design of the two tone with a black face and gold accents makes this watch look both elegant and sporty as well as easier to read. The time points will glow in the dark if you submit the watch to some light. It is bigger than your normal woman's watch but if you shop for a women's watch you will find they are making women's watches even smaller nowadays. It is basically a size between a woman's and a man's watch and is the perfect size for my wrist. Before purchasing the Invicta watch, I went to replace my old two tone Seiko women's date/day watch and found the stem to change the time had been made smaller and thinner and harder to pull out to change the time as well as the watch date and time lettering was smaller and harder to read. Also the downside to Seiko, they are now being made in China thus making me wondering that the quality had gone down since quality regulations are very lax in China.
I am very pleased with my two tone Invicta watch purchase. The Swiss started watch making over two hundred years ago and I feel this watch was made to last.
Update as of December 1, 2011: I am loving this watch! I have received numerous compliments and someone actually thought I was wearing a Rolex watch. The only thing I am finding a bit difficult is the metal clasps are a bit stiff and I find I have to use something to help unlatch the clasps. Hopefully they will losen a bit but if not, may take it to a jewelers to adjust them.

This watch is beautiful. It comes with full instructions on how to set the time and date. Yes it is rather large but that is what I love about it. I had links removed by a jeweler...it only cost $5.00. Well worth it. It looks great and is impeccably made. Out of all the watches I have had, this is my favorite.

I purchased this watch about three months ago. I loved the look and the big face. Makes it easy to read when you just glance at it. I replaced the battery after a month (thought maybe had been sitting on the shelf and was old). The next thing I noticed a couple of weeks ago is the gold finish is wearing off of the watch band. Today (three months of wear) it quit working again. Considering the price, it's pretty unimpressive! I could have purchased a timex and had better wear!
