Not only does this watch keep accurate time, but it's a good looker also. That deep-blue dial face, stainless steel watch band and just the right amount of gold accents (some watches are gaudy and overdo the gold thing) make this one heck of a watch for both casual wear and on dressy occasions.

I bought this watch on a cruise and it's very nice. The large watch face, the colors of gold, blue and silver are well balanced. Naturally, it does a good job at keeping time too.

The Perfect Watch For Any OccasionMay 07, 2012

I first received my Bulova watch about eight years ago. It was a gift to myself for all of my hard work and determination at school and work. At the time, I was debating between this watch, and a few others. Finally, I asked my manager (who absolutely loved watches) about his opinion. He thankfully clarified my original thought: Buy the Bulova Marine Star. And so I did.
This Bulova watch has been absolutely perfect since the day I bought it. The watch ALWAYS keeps correct and accurate time, and has never skipped ahead or fallen behind as some watches do. The tachymeter (not tachometer) feature on the watch also comes in handy for me (I use it to gauge and correct speedometers on vehicles) and is extremely easy to use. Speaking of easy to use, the date functionality is very simple to use, and I have never had an issue.
The blue-face backing, with silver and gold accents attribute to many a glance from watch finatics around. I cannot even begin to explain how many times people mistake my watch for either a Rolex or a Breitling. I of course explain to them that it is a Bulova Marine Star, and they are always amazed. I then also explain how great the watch has been, and that it receives compliments daily. This watch makes my day so many times throughout the year, and I've not really ever been able to say that about anything else tangible and in my possesion.
Finally, the glass on the watch, as well as the metal of the watch, is very durable. I am 6'3, have long arms, and am always banging my hands (and watch) on things. The Bulova Marine Star watch has held up against every hit and smack I have put it through. In short, if you purchase this watch, it will not let you down. I recommend it to someone almost everyday at my work, as I am a bank teller. Enjoy!

Most beautiful watch I've had so farMar 09, 2010

I've been thinking of getting a new watch for about a year and had been looking all over 'til I settled for this one.
I've always loved all watches from Bulova but never had the chance of getting one for myself and I got this one as a birthday present for myself when I turned 21.
The watch is simply amazing, the weight is just right and the right size, not bulky but not small either.
The gold details give it a special, elegant touch.
Have been getting a lot of compliments on it, all my friends love it.
It's not a Omega but It just feels as 007 as if it was.
To sum up, absolutely satisfied.

I purchased this watch on June 30th for $194.98 with shipping. When I opened this watch today, I was immediately pleased with it. The pictures on here simply do not do this watch justice. It is well made and the finish is flawless. I bought this as a gift for my best man and couldn't be happier.
